VISN 22 Network Contracting Activity, Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with Ancare Corporation, 2647 Grand Avenue, Bellmore, NY 11718. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation shall NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA-262-10-RQ-0495. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 332618. The VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS) intends to purchase customized rat/guinea pig products from Ancare Corporation, that is currently not covered by their GSA Contract to conform with other Ancare Corporation GSA contract items being supplied for this area of the VALBHS. The following Ancare Corporation part numbers apply however are not limited to the following: AN2460SS5F, AND ACS-DS4. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government.
