NA Scope of work: The contractor will report for work approximately 20 work days which will consist of an eight hour work days totaling (160 hrs). A three-man tree crew will be familiar with and follow ANSI Z133.1 (SAFETY REQUIREMENT) and ANSI A300(STANDARD P RACTICES) for tree care operations as well as the tree pruning guidelines published by the international society of arboriculture. At least one crewmember (preferably the crew leader) must be an ISA Certified Arborist (COPY OF CERTIFICATION MUST BE PROVIDE D WITH BID PROPOSAL). A normal work day will be from 8am to 4pm. Work will include all types of maintenance pruning with emphasis on hazard tree reduction and/or removal. Tree health will be improved whenever possible through methods deemed appropriate by the POC. Stumps will be ground in a timely manner and all brush chipped. Wood chips and other materials too large to chip may be deposited on post at a location identified by the POC. At no time will trash, paper, bottles, etc. be dumped in the mulch coll ection area. Fort Eustis ENRD reserves the right to require both chips and solid material to be hauled off post. In this case, a dump fee allowance of $50.00 will be credited for each eight hour day the tree crew works on post. The crew leader will report to the POC, Bldg# 1409, at the beginning of each day to receive instructions and at the end of the day to document work accomplished. It is anticipated that the work performed under this contract will be completed within 90 days of bid award.
