This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ) for 1,920 PATCO PB LWH 01 batteries (Name Brand or Equal) as prescribed in the enclosed Salient Characteristics/Specifications. See Statement of Work (SOW) in the attached combined synopsis solicitation for detailed Salient Characteristics/Specifications. The closing date for this solicitation is 08 September 2014. All quotations must be received via e-mail no later than 12:00 hours EST on 08 September 2014. All questions pertaining to this RFQ must be in writing, submitted via e-mail and received by U.S. ARMY PEO STRI Contracting Center no later than 17:00 hour EST on 03 September 2014. The Contracting Specialist for this solicitation is Sergeant First Class Victor B. Huston. The Contracting Officer for this Solicitation is Ms. LeMarle McKee. The solicitation number for this procurement is W900KK-14-T-0048. U.S. Government intends to award a single award contract. Award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract under FAR Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-76 and DFARS DPN 20140805.

BASIS OF AWARD
1) The award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the solicitation is the lowest price technically acceptable. Technically acceptable offerors will be determined based on the offeror's ability to provide the batteries that meets the specifications of the Salient Characteristics/Specifications provided.

1) Each offeror shall provide a quote under this combined synopsis/solicitation.
