The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single-source contract to NIVISYS in Tempe, Arizona for the procurement of the following: TAM-14, Quantity: 419 each3X Afocal Lense, Quantity: 419 each This single-source acquisition is necessary in order to support the need of the Customs and Border Patrol throughout the United States. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the standardization of this requirement and NIVISYS is the only known contractor capable to supply the identical hardware/software equipment that is configured to be compatible with the current systems. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures as well as locate additional sources capable of fulfilling future requirements.
