Scope of WorkSelway Bitterroot Wilderness Archaeological Project The project will entail the archaeological excavation of approximately five cubic meters of soil along the Selway River at a prehistoric hamlet. The site is located deep within the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness, approximately two miles north of the Shearer Guard Station, Moose Creek Ranger District. The purpose of the project is characterize the nature and extent of significant archaeological deposits located along a circa 100-meter long eroding river terrace. This contract will be a Small Business Set Aside. Location will be on the Nez Perce National Forest, 104 Airport Road, Grangeville, ID 83530.
