The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to solicit on a sole source basis, for services in support of the effort of the Naval Historical Center. The Naval Historical Center has a need to acquire the services of The Jackson Brady Design Group for design work for the National Museum of the United States Navy, Underwater Archaeology Exhibit to include concept and schematic drawings for exhibit space. The design will provide for guidance on display of exhibits, interactive devices, video playback machines, and will incorporate hands-on & educational devices among other requirements. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced contract. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with Jackson Brady Design Group of Washington DC, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. After an extensive review of the industry Jackson Brady Design Group, was found to be the most appropriate provider of these services. Jackson Brady Design Group possesses the technical expertise and experience needed to provide for the unique requirements of the Naval Historical Center. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 541490. Numbered Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement with a Technical Capability Statement. . This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
