This is a synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FE441821070347 is a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in affect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code is (334112). The small business size standard is 1000 employees. The offeror shall provide as a response to this solicitation a lump sum proposal for all labor and materials included in this project and a completed clause 52.212-3. Technical literature must also be submitted with quote. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Furnish Mobile Shelving/Storage system that shall be no taller than 8.9? and 35?11? wide. This storage system can be provided in one unit or several units to occupy listed space. The units should extend 60 inches from the back wall. All units will be used to store/secure AGE Bench Stock. Storage system should provide secured storage for approximately 250 pieces of oversize bench stock and special tools. The bench stock parts require enough space to store large tools and large boxes in excess of 35 pounds each. Storage system must lock to secure all items. System will be computer operated, but a computer system will be required to account for all stock items. Computer will also manage inventory of all removed parts, allow work order processing of parts kits, and generate backorder requests, when required, and must be compatible with PC based Dell Hardware. Machine must have a recessed toe panel to enable full frontal approach from a wheelchair. A site visit is scheduled to be held 16 May 02 at 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time on Charleston Air force Base, Bldg 503. It is mandatory that all offerors attend this meeting.
