The FAA intends to purchase 45 flush flashers, as detailed below, on a single source basis from Siemens Airfield Solutions, Columbus, Ohio. 21 L-850E (green threshold) # 44A6248-1210 25 L-850B (white) #116A0010/211 The flush mounted fixtures, as manufactured by Siemens Airfield Solutions, are tested and approved by the FAA per L-850B and L850E AC 150/5345-46. The Siemens part was tested by an independent testing service to demonstrate compliance with photometric requirements of FAA-E-2628b. A competitive solicitation is unavailable for this effort. The requirement is being processed using limitation of sources to a single source as provided for under the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Sections 3.2.2.2 and 3.2.2.4. This equipment is required to insure standardization of equipment.
