The solicitation for this project will be posted to Fed Biz Opps on or about September 12, 2006 with responses due on September 22, 2006. The Contractor shall prepare a Biological Assessment (BA) for Federal, Wallowa-Whitman and Umatilla National Forests, ongoing actions that may affect listed fish species or designated critical habitat that occur in Lower Grande Ronde Subbasin from data that resides at the District office; within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest GIS database; or within other databases used by the Wallowa-Whimtan National Forest. Ongoing and proposed actions include, but not limited to rangeland grazing and range improvement maintenance; transportation systems and road maintenance; recreation activities, such as campground maintenance, trail maintenance, etc.; and vegetation management projects, such as fuels reductions actions, timber harvest, etc.; or other actions identified by analysis of existing data currently in District files. The analysis area is located on the Wallowa Valley Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The District office is located in Enterprise, Oregon.
