The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards Service (AFS) has a requirement for PC-based simulation of the Flight Management System (FMS) Operational Flight Program. The simulation will interface with the current FAA Airspace Simulation and Analysis for TERPS (ASAT) to accomplish evaluation of the Required Navigation Performance (RNP)operation. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate with only Smith Aerospace Inc., in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4 Market Research supports our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm.
