NASA/KSC plans to issue a Sole-Source Request for Proposal (RFP) for ANSYS/MECHANICAL FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS SOFTWARE & ANSYS/LS-DYNA NONLINEAR STRUCTURAL SIMULATION SOFTWARE. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Computer Aided Engineering, out of Woodbury, CT, in accordance with the statutory authority U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). This is a sole-source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Computer Aided Engineering has been identified as the only known responsible source to complete the requirement. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP). This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by mail, fax, or email to Mr. Rob Wolfinger not later than 12 NOON KSC local tine on Wednesday, July 21, 2004.
