The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) published the formal public announcement for the Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) public-private competition in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 on December 19, 2003. The Announcement stated that offerors seeking to perform as prime service providers on this acquisition shall submit their notice of intent to the FAA Contracting Officer no later than January 15, 2004. Private sector offerors that did not respond with their notice of intent by January 15, 2004 were also notified that they would not be eligible to compete as a prime on this acquisition. To maximize effective competition attached is the list of potential prime service providers who submitted their notice of intent to perform as a potential prime on the AFSS competition. The attached list provides relevant point of contact information for potential teaming and subcontracting opportunities.
