NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center Natick Contracting Division intends to conduct negotiations with Sunstone Incorporated, 345 Sandford Street, New Brunswick, NJ on a basis of other than full and open competition in anticipation of a requiremen ts type contract award for the period of July 2002 through June 2007 [base year with four (4) option years] for three (3) types of custom designed phosphors. The government's best estimate for each year's requirement is seventy (70) kilograms of one (1) p hosphor and fifty (50) kilograms each of the other two (2) types. Sunstone Inc. has been determined to be the only source with technology capable of providing the additive materials required by the U.S. government. They have proprietary formulations that enable them to meet all the criteria, such as spectra wavelength, energy absorption, reflectance peaks, and purity, required by the government for this acquisition.
