The Department of Human Services (DHS), is seeking a contractor to provide Ambulance Services to Torrance State Hospital, State Route 1014, Torrance, PA 15779 (facility). This service includes both Advanced and Basic Life Support. The selected contractor shall be equipped to facilitate any and all consumers. The selected Contractor shall provide ambulance service to transport consumers, with or without Facility personnel, on a routine basis and on an emergency basis from the Facility to Indiana Regional Medical Center, Latrobe Area Hospital or other health care provider. The selected Contractor must provide for the consumer’s safe and secure delivery to the medical facility or health care provider, as described in the Statement of Work. Anticipated term: The anticipated term of this contract will be October 1, 2020 (or upon final approval, whichever is later) and end September 30, 2025 (ending five years from Effective Date of contract). Copy of Insurance Payment Provisions: The Facility will pay the selected contractor an all-inclusive fee for transporting patients one-way to a medical facility or health care provider located within a 30-mile radius of the Facility. Except as provided in this section, other than the all-inclusive rate for one-way transport, the Department will make no additional payment for the transport, including payment for cardiac monitor, oxygen, cervical collars, surgical gloves or any other type of service/supply. If the selected contractor transports a patient to a medical facility or health care provider located beyond a 30-mile radius of the Facility, in addition to the all-inclusive fee, the Facility will pay for mileage in excess of 30 miles.
