We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can provide the following items: Milk, whole, fresh, pasteurized, homogenized Vitamin A and D fortified, ½ pint container, Type 1 Class 1 Milk, low fat (2% milk fat) fresh, homogenized, pasteurized, vitamin A and D fortified, 1/2 pint container Milk, skim, nonfat (less than 0.5% milk fat), fresh, milk solids added, homogenized and pasteurized, vitamin A and D fortified, ½ pint container Milk, chocolate flavor, 1% - 2% milk fat, fresh, homogenized, pasteurized, vitamin A and D fortified, ½ pint container Drink, fruit, Orange flavor 1-gallon Container Vanilla Ice Cream, regular, 4 oz container, 2 dozen per package Chocolate Ice Cream, regular, 4 oz container, 2 dozen per package Strawberry Ice Cream, regular, 4 oz container, 2 dozen per package Orange Sherbet, Regular, 4 oz container, 2 doz per package If the contractor can provide the above-mentioned units, brand name or an equal to product, the contractor SHALL submit product information for evaluation. If the contractor can provide the above items, the contractor SHALL provide a letter from the manufacturer stating they are an authorized distributor/licenser of their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable. If insufficient veteran owned small business responses are received, the acquisition will be set-aside for small business participation if there are sufficient firms available. Please title the subject line for all responses as: Sources Sought Dairy: 36C24620Q0840 Locations where deliveries are needed: Salisbury VAMC 1601 Brenner Ave Salisbury, NC 28144 Statement of Work DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS VA MEDICAL CENTER, SALISBURY, NC All orders shall be received at Building 5 (loading dock) at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC, within the specified time-frames: Deliveries to be made not before 7:00am and not after 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Deliveries shall not be made on Saturday, Sunday or Federal Holidays, except in extreme emergencies. Deliveries shall be made three (3) times per week and not on consecutive days; and at least once (1) per week for ice cream and sherbet products. The VA needs enough time before the expiration date on product to allow reasonable rotation. Milk and milk product delivery shall occur 7+ days before the expiration date on the delivered product package, milk delivery temperature must be at 38 degrees or less, and ice cream/sherbet must be delivered in a frozen state.
