EXTENDED: This Sources Sought is being issued by the Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) Small Business Coordinator (SBC)in support of AMS. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Programs(AMS), Poultry Programs, Commodity Procurement Branch, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Room 3941-South, Washington DC, 20250 is seeking to increase the agency's vendor base for qualified Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) who service under the NAICS 311615- Poultry Manufacturing and NAICS - 311999 Egg Manufacturing. The resulting list is intended to assist procurement officials within the agency in meeting our agency goal of 3% for FY 2008 contract awards. This office purchases Poultry Products for the National School Lunch and other domestic food nutrition assistance programs. Sources are sought for small businesses (under 500 employees) who are manufacturers of Poultry and Egg Products. These commodities are purchased in truck load quantities (36,000 pounds to 40,000 pounds) for delivery to destinations nationwide. All product purchased by USDA must be of 100% domestic origin. Vendors are required to register into the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov.
