Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Sinclair Research Center, PO Box 658, Columbia, MO 65205, for the purchase of their miniature swine, non-castrated males or non-pregnant females. The miniature swine should be specific pathogen free between the ages of 8-10 months and weigh 35-45kg. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no challenges to acquire this item are received by 10:00 a.m., EST, 08 Jul 2009, the government reserves the right to execute an award. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
