This is a combined/synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is FA8901-04-R-0030, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 541710 and the business size is 500 employees. The Government intends to issue a contract for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Brooks City-Base, TX. The request is for the purchase of 10 (ten) live Cynomolgus (Macaca fascicularis) monkeys. Specific requirements for these monkeys include: experimentally naïve subjects, 3-8 kg in weight. The monkeys must be screened for herpes B, SIV, SRV, STLV1, antibody negative, PCR/SRV 1 & 2, negative vaccinations for Hepatitis “A” and measles. They must come with a complete clinical history, and results of physical exam (body weight, fecal prophylactic Rx, Ivermec and Albendazole).
