Solicitation number L13Ps00015 applies and is issued as an Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following requirement: The Bureau of Land Management's Litchfield Holding Facility has a requirement for feeding services 365 days per year, including holidays, from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2017, with an option for 4 more 12-month periods. The Litchfield Wild Horse and Burro Facility is located on Highway 395 North, 20 miles north of Susanville, in Litchfield, California. The Wild Horse and Burro Center at Litchfield receives horses and burros directly from the range after they have been gathered. The facility maintains throughout the year 300-1,000 animals on a daily basis. The Contractor must provide services for the feeding of these animals as they arrive from the western facilities and await transport to adoption locations around the country. Litchfield is a permanent year-round holding facility requiring daily feeding of the animals residing on the facility. The Contractor shall provide sufficient personnel to assure the daily feeding of animals, 365 days per year, to include all unloading of large hay bales. This is a 100% set-aside for small business.
