The Felt shall have a minimum of 30% wool and a maximum of 5% of 1,1, 1-trichloroethane extract. The Weight shall be 3.04 + 0.12 oz/yd2 and the thickness shall be 0.030 + .005 inch. While DSCP procures the end-item Dress Coats from our manufactures; it seeks domestic “Wool Felt” suppliers that can provide this component to DSCP contractors in compliance with the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006. The origin of the raw materials and all manufacturing processes must be performed domestically. The Filling shall be 100% nylon or polyester mono-filament and a Minimum of 41 picks. The Weight shall be a Minimum of 5.4 ounces /yd2 and the Stiffness (filling direction) from 0.055 to 0.14 load pounds.
