Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to solicit for 800 small rainsuits, 1,000 medium rainsuits, 2,500 large rainsuits, and 3,500 extra large rainsuits with an option for 3,200 small rainsuits, 4000 medium rainsuits, 10,000 large rainsuits, and 14,000 extra large rainsuits. Option quantity will be evaluated with the base quantity. Option quantities will be priced based on quantity and Fiscal Year (FY) in which the option may be exercised (FY05-FY08). Complete specification package will be provided with the solicitation when issued. Units shall be priced for delivery FOB Destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. 23709-5000. A requirements type contract with firm fixed unit prices is anticipated. Response date for submission of offers will be established in the written solicitation. Requirement will be handled utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offerors, the final contract award decision shall be based on a combination of factors, including historical quality performance of the contract being evaluated. The Request for Quote number is N00181-04-Q-0357 and NAICS Code 315999 applies. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
