The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Outdoor Research Incorporated 2203 1st. Ave. S. Suite700, Seattle, WA. 98134-4142 for the acquisition of Parachutist Individual Equipment Kits (PIEK) components. The items being acquired are: Four Hundred Eighteen Glove Liner, Three Hundred Ninety Four Glover Liner Insula, Four Hundred Six Glove Parachutist, Four Hundred Six Glove Shell. The items being acquired has undergone extensive testing and qualification under the MARCORSYSCOM Parachuting Authority. Each part has been tested to perform to rigid requirements as specified in Marine Corps Order (MCO) 3500.20A for Marine Corps Parachuting and Diving Policy and Program Administration. Only those articles, which have been successfully tested, are qualified. The objective of this process is to verify that the system provides acceptable levels of safety and mission critical support throughout the system specific op! erating range and reasonable assurance that the mission can be completed. Only this equipment provided by Outdoor Research Incorporated has been successfully tested and qualified by the U.S. Marine Corps.
