84 Mesa Mastication, 771 acres

The Bureau of Land Management has a requirement for a contractor to masticate 771 acres of pinyon and juniper trees at 84 Mesa (Colorado) with contractor furnished rubber tired mulching machines equipped with a hydro-axe/fecon cutting heads capable of working on slopes up to 30 percent and mulching trees or logs up to 16 inches in diameter at breast height (DBH).

Details are included in the Statement of Work, maps, and Wage Determination attached to this RFQ.

No site visit is scheduled but offerors may visit the site on their own. The location is off improved roads that currently do not have snow cover. The location is approximately 25 miles southwest of Meeker, CO.

This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The NAICS associated with this solicitation is 115310 Support Activities for Forestry, Fuels Management Services, which has a small business size standard of $34M.

Award will be made on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable basis. See provision 52.212-2 `Evaluation' for details of what must be included with your quote.

Technical questions regarding this RFQ shall be submitted in writing only via email to the Contract Specialist Laura StJohn at [email protected] by no later than Wednesday November 29, 2023 at 4:00 pm MT. Any questions received will be answered via an amendment to the solicitation on or about Friday December 1, 2023. If no questions are received no amendment will be issued. In order to ensure all offerors have the same information questions will not be accepted by telephone, they must be emailed and the answers will be provided in the amendment.
