Kandahar Airfield / CJTF-82, and ISAF Regional Command South require Contract Working Dog (CWD) services in lieu of Military Working Dogs (MWD) to execute force protection requirements in support of operations. CWD support includes providing a combination of 41 each trained and certified Patrol/ Narcotics Detector Dogs (PNDD) [2 ea.], and Explosives Detector Dogs (EDD) [39ea] (with an option of providing two additional dogs to be utilized at Kandahar International Airport subject to availability of funds) as well as trained and certified handlers and staff to conduct operations at Kandahar Airfield, the Regional Command South Area of Operation (AO), and the Combined Joint Special Operations Area (CJSOA); 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the period of performance. Contractor will plan and execute the fielding of CWD teams to Kandahar, Afghanistan, which will serve as a base of operations for CWD services at Forward Operating Bases (FOB) and Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT) throughout the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Regional Command South AO [Southern Afghanistan?s five provinces: Uruzgan, Zabul, Kandahar, Helmand, and Nimroz]. Contractor will be responsible for the management of the CWD teams to achieve mission accomplishment with the required number of CWD teams. Contractor will interface with the Force Protection Officer, NATO Forces, Kandahar Airfield Provost Marshal, Unit Headquarters, Commanders, and Soldiers.
