This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine market availability of sources capable of supplying Transit Cases to support Project Director Network Enablers (PD Net E) Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Management Client (MGC) program.
This is a sources sought notice only. An Award may or may not result from this action.
PD Net E is interested in procuring a quantity of 72 Transit Cases with the following specifications:
The commercial off the shelf empty MGC transit case is the Pelican Model AL3627-1505, Color: Olive Drab, Green (O.D.Green), NSN:5895-01-613-9465. Cases must meet the specifications of NSN: 5895-01-613-9465. Current Quantity Required: 72. The vendor will be responsible for providing complete cases to include all permanently affixed high density foam inserts. See attached drawings for the bottom and top foam inserts for design and layout of the foam inserts. Interior is to be hard density, extruded foam (non-reconfigurable). Foam should fit tightly and securely around equipment being stored in the cases.
Should this action become a formal solicitation and contract award, the apparent low bidder will be required to provide one demo case to PD Net E prior to full production. This demo case will be utilized to determine adequacy of foam density and fit of equipment. The demo case may be subjected to drop tests and may be damaged. Vendors should not include this case in the count for final deliverable quantity.
The demo case is anticipated to be delivered to PD NET E, Bldg 6007 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 Mark For: MGC Transit Case
Upon notification that the demo is sufficient, the vendor will then be required to deliver the full quantity of 72ea to Tobyhanna Army Depot, 11 Hap Arnold Blvd, Bldg 73, Tobyhanna, PA 18466-5110 Mark for: PD NET E MGCs
Vendors are requested, but not required, to provide a Quote as part of their response to determine market interest and market pricing. Please include your company's approximate delivery time from date of potential contract award. Your response should include company information to include: Name, Cage code, Business Size, Point of Contact and any Multiple Award Contract (MAC) or Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) numbers in which the vendor would be providing supplies (such as GSA). A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) may be released at a later date by a Warranted Contracting Officer. Only a Warranted Contracting Officer can provide direction and/or indebt the Government.
