A quotation is requested for three (3) line items. LINE ITEM 1: 4,000 each Styrofoam Block Containers, with the following specifications: 1) 112 cavities per block; block is with no legs 2) cavity depth of 9 inches 3) 10 cubic inches cell volume for roots per each cell 4) allow for root length of 8 inches 5) cell top diameter of 1.4 inches 6) block size is 23.6 inches by 13.9 inches. LINE ITEM 2: 6,000 each Styrofoam Block Containers, with the following specifications: 1) 112 cavities per block; block is with no legs 2) cavity depth of 5.9 inches 3) 105 cubic centimeters cell volume per each cell 4) cell top diameter of 1.4 inches 5) block size is 23.6 inches by 13.9 inches. LINE ITEM 3: 500 each Styrofoam Block Containers, with the following specifications: 1) 160 cavities per block; block is with no legs 2) cavity depth of 9 inches 3) 120 cubic centimeters cell volume per each cell 4) cell top diameter of 1.18 inches 5) block size is 23.6 inches by 13.9 inches. Inspection will be made at the delivery point and will consist of random sampling of the product(s) for conformance with specifications and quantity count. FAR 52.211-16, Variation in Quantity (APR 1984) applies to this solicitation and any resulting contract. (a) A variation in the quantity of any item called for by this contract will not be accepted unless the variation has been caused by conditions of loading, shipping or packing, or allowances in the manufacturing processes, and then only to the extent, if any, specified in paragraph (b) (below) of this clause. (b) The permissible variation in quantity shall be limited to: 1 percent increase, 1 percent decrease, and applies to total contract quantity. All deliveries shall be made on regular workdays (Monday through Friday) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time), excluding official Federal Government holidays.
