This viola has a two piece back of quarter cut maple having strong horizontal flames. The ribs are of maple having closer flames than the back. The scroll is maple having a close but faint flame. The top is two p ieces of medium maple with grained spruce. The color of the varnish is a golden brown. Measurements for the back: length – 407mm; upper- 189mm; middle- 162mm; lower 232mm (1) each.
