The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with the American Hospital Association (AHA) its membership renewal for a base year, with four one-year options. The proposed action is for membership coverage for institutional, associated memberships for each VA hospital, medical center, medical and regional office center, and independent heath care system, outpatient clinic; the domiciliary; and each VISN director. Accordingly, the Government will negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes but responses received on or before October 25, 2004, will be evaluated. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
