The U.S. Geological Survey, Western Region Geography has a requirement for current (2005) imagery data for the state of Arizona for our use, and release into the public domain. The data needs to meet the following USGS specifications: 1) Orthorectified imagery data to correct for terrain displacement and collection perspective; 2) natural imagery data -- color 3-brand imagery representing blue, green, and red bands of the visible light spectrum; 3) the absolute horizontal positional accuracy of imagery shall meet USGS specification for 1:12,000-scale digital orthophoto quadrangles; 4) the imagery data shall have a nominal resolution of 1-meter; 5) the imagery shall be in UTM coordinates, NAD-83, in the appropriate UTM zone; 6) there will be no gaps or slivers between image tiles; 7) the imagery data shall be clear of visual obstructions (haze, smoke, dust, snow, clouds, etc.); 8) the imagery shall be delivered in TIFF with world files of GeoTIFF format; 9) the imagery data will be delivered in uncompressed form in a consistent and uniform tiling system; 10) tile names will be unique, consistent, and documentation on the naming system will be provided with the data delivery. Complete imagery coverage for the following Arizona counties is required: Apache, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mojave (Mohave), Navajo, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Yavapai, Yuma. The required delivery date is 10/01/2005, to Menlo Park, CA.
