The Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS/BPH) has a requirement for the production of various monthly and weekly magazines in braille format. Production and delivery of braille materials in accordance with NLS/BPH specifications #410, and #801 includes transcription, pressing, binding and distribution of braille magazines. Address labels or equivalent computer files are provided for distribution to individual patrons. Bidders are required to submit samples of the products requested, which precisely meet all applicable specifications. Current producers may request waivers via email for the submission of samples. The solicitation document, LC04-B-3558 is attached. The NLS/BPH specifications, which are incorporated in the solicitation by reference, may be downloaded from http://www.loc.gov/nls/specs. Award will be based on the responsibility of bidder and the responsiveness of the bid. The Government will consider only the price and price-related factors included in the invitation. The requirement will result in multiple awards.
