The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, San Diego, CA intend to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5 to Life Technologies Corporation 5791 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA 92008-7321. The proposed contract action is for obtaining maintenance/repair services for three (3) 7500 FAST DX INSTRUMENTS. The service to include: Parts Labor and Travel for all repairs calls. Instrument re-calibration and I OQ/IPV after month six (6). One Planned Maintenance (PM) visit after month six (6). Re-calibration and verification after major repairs. Priority phone and e-mail access to instrument technical support from the AB Technical Assistance Center. Factory-certified replacements parts. All work must be performed by certified AB Field Engineers. Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
