This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is RFQ-138508, and is being conducted as a small-business set-aside under the procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13 (test program). The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334513, the size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price, brand name contract under Request for Quote (RFQ) 138508, for One (1) DVW-A500 Sony Digital Betacam Editing Recorder. The Sony (brand-name) editing recorder is required to provide downward capabilities for use with existing Sony Analog Betacam SP recorders. Purchase of the brand-name product will ensure compatibility with existing equipment and increase the quality of video recording within the FBI. Delivery of the recorder shall be made to the FBI Training Academy, Quantico, Virginia 22135. Receipt of any other type of recorder will not be accepted. All quotes shall be submitted to the attention of Ms. Renee L. ADDENDUM to 52.212-2(a)—Quotes will be evaluated based on past performance and price. The evaluation of this RFQ will be in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the FAR.
