Qualified commercial sources are currently being sought for a nation-wide virtual commercial galley (food preparation) supplies procurement that utilizes on-line electronic ordering (via DoD EMALL). The Government is considering issuing a solicitation/ contract for commercial galley (food preparation) supplies [To include knives, knife sets, large forks, ladles, etc. Flatware (forks, knives, and spoons) for shipboard use, including disposable flatware; Paper products such as napkins, paper towels, disposable hats, etc; Clothing products such as aprons and towels suitable for use in food preparation handling and serving spaces; Disposable biodegradable paper plates] for U.S. Naval ships and shore installations located nationwide. All interested large and small companies are encouraged to submit the following: Company profile, including whether it is a small [small business es shall identify their business status (i.e. HUBZone small business, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman-owned, Native American (tribally owned or Alaskan native).] or large business, names, telephone numbers and email addresses of points of contact, past performance (The contract information provided under the past performance section, shall only include those contracts that are similar to the effort.), depth and breadth of its current product catalog, current distribution system, any innovations currently utilized for this type of commodity, industry commercial standard for delivery of this type of commodity, contractual terms and conditions affecting pricing (i.e. delivery, ordering, etc.), customer service procedures, subcontracting relationships (i.e. JWOD NIB/NISH) and the percentage of products offered that are manufactured by small businesses.
