This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for a Market Research ONLY to determine the availability of potential vendors who can supply domestic appliances to the U.S. Army in Europe.

a. The Host Nation Liaison Forward Operating Activity (HNLFOA), located in Grafenwoehr, Germany, is seeking a single supplier who can provide a unique supply based requirement for domestic appliances. All purchases will be made on a small or individual basis. This action is not intended to have the HNLFOA to buy and store bulk purchases prior to delivering them to the customers.

b. The Government will determine the type of contract based on the results of this market research. The Government intends to make single item purchases from the item list below and have them delivered directly to customer's households. Customers will reside either on the listed US Army Installations or, within commuting distance, in commercial residential homes & apartments outside the listed US Army Installations. Annual volume forecasts will be estimated and provided in the solicitation.

1. The contractor/supplier must be responsible for the installation of the appliances and must occur the same day that the item is delivered.
2. Contractor must deliver the item within 5 business days upon placing the order.

c. All items must be legally and safely operational within the European Union and comply with EU regulations and local national laws for Italy, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. They should be 220V. They should be white in color and free standing. All volume sizes have a tolerance of +/- 5% to allow for more product models. Specific dimensions such as width must be met within standard manufacturing tolerances. Supplier must be able to meet 100% of the primary items requested. Supplier must also note which of the secondary items they would be able to provide.

d. The Government estimates to purchase about 10,000 items per year.

e. The Primary items requested are:
1) 7 KG clothes washing machine
2) 7 kg clothes dryer (condense)
3) 60 cm wide dishwasher with adjustable feet
4) 18.5 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer combination
5) 12.5 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer combination
6) 9.5 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer combination
7) a 60cm wide ceramic top range oven

The Secondary items requested are:
1) 7-9 kg clothes dryer (exhaust)
2) Top loading clothes washer
3) Top loading clothes dryer
4) 30 inch wide ceramic top range oven

f. The following list is a list of all Army installations to be supported by the contractor with an approximate number of customers:
