This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, this synopsis shall serve as a request for quotation, numbered F25600-02-T-0032. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-03. This requirement is set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334112 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Supplies/Services contained in this quotation are for delivery FOB Destination to OFFUTT AFB NE 68113, unless stated otherwise. Supplies are of domestic origin unless otherwise indicated by offeror. No used or refurbished equipment is acceptable. The government intends to issue a purchase order for the following: CLIN 0001 X6724A SUN FC-AL hot swap 36.4 GB 10K-rpm 1" disk with brackets and plate kit (rails) for install. QTY 22 EACH. Please provide the following warranty information: 1. What warranty/maintenance entails (i.e., telephone support, or 7 day 24 hr, or 5 day 8 hr, or on-site vs. mail in, or next business day). 2. Length of Warranty to include start and end dates. 3. How warranty work is initiated to include POC and phone number, if applicable. NOTE: For SUN products: 1. If vendor is other than SUN the vendor must be a SUN authorized reseller. 2. All components MUST be new, not used, recycled or remanufactured. 3. The manufacturer and the vendor/reseller must be ISO 9002 certified. Modules must be manufactured using TSOP chip configurations. 4. Vendor must provide lifetime warranty and guaranteed 24-hour replacement program. 5. If a 3rd party manufactures the product, the manufacturer MUST be: a. A member of SPARC International and the product must be SPARC certified; b. A member of Sun Microsystems Catalyst Developer Program; and, c. A member of the JEDEC Industry Standards Committee. Please acknowledge all requirements on quotations. Please indicate FOB destination on quote.
