It is the National Energy Technical Laboratory's (NETL) intent to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Thermo-Calc Software. This is considered a sole source to SEATRAM Inc because this specialized software is the only computational software capable of performing the tasks needed.This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for quotation or proposal. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Challenges must demonstrate the capability to provide all of the above listed specifications for the item(s) being requested (software licenses and accompany support service). If no challenges to acquire this (these) item(s) are received by 5:30 PM ET on August 12, 2010. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed award based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
