The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Spirent Communications, Inc. to provide AX/4000 Test Generator/Analyzer and related adapters, and software. The AX/4000 is established at NIMA for rack-mounted circuit and protocol test generation and analysis. It is the only known device that can generate and perform a circuit test, and then decode and analyze the results. Spirent Communications, Inc. is the only source for this equipment. Spirent Communications, Inc. does not have a distribution network.
