The Government intends to award a brand name contract to METAVR VRSG. The WA ANG located at Fairchild AFB, WA is seeking sources available other than the item listed below for purposes of establishing or discrediting a sole source application for a METAVR VRSG System. Description of METAVR VRSG System:
The VRSG IG Cube system provides the unique capability to digitally link to the current simulator, provide a second simulation input to the JTAC trainee, and link seamlessly with the DTOC. This system is the only one that is currently certified and approved by JFCOM to accurately portray visual stimuli that mirror those in the Close Air Support aircraft platforms that the DTOC will link us to and through. The VRSG IGCube system is the only system that will work seamlessly with all of our current Close Air Support simulation training software and hardware that interface with the DTOC to provide accurate simulation experience to the Joint Terminal Attack Controller. Virtual Reality Scene Generator is a proprietary software of MetaVR. Included in this purchase is hardware that is test and certified by MetaVR to work with their high performace simulation software. Any system malfunction would fall under the support license provided by MetaVR. Different/Inferior products will not offer the training consistency or accuracy to justify purchase. Inferior.different systems may shut down system, reduce training value and subsequently marginalize or hinder 116 ASOS training due to system malfunctions and poor performance. VRSG is the software that gives JTACs the compatibility to work with other platforms across Distributed Mission Operations.
