The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to Synergy Microsystems, Inc., 9605 Scranton Rd., San Diego, CA 92121 for Single Board Computers and Software. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Synergy Microsystems Inc. using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 30 Sep 02. This process is being processed on a Sole Source basis because the computers being purchased are identical to those used in the existing data recorders. This equipment is necessary for 100% compatibility between the existing AN/WSQ-9 data records and the new recording system that will be used for at-sea testing.
