RMCE comprises of a network designed to control Wideband Global Satellite Communications (WGS) across a Wide Area Network (WAN). The Product Director Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (PD WESS) team has a requirement to procure IT hardware in support of the John Hopkins University (JHU)/Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). This requirement will be competed under the Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - 2 Hardware (ITES-2H) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Procurement of the items under the ITES-2H contract will result in a fixed-price delivery order(s). The required effective date for this purchase is first quarter FY14. Because of the large number of different brand name items needed, one vendor may not be able to provide all of the required equipment.
