The proposed procurement is for a OCEAN SYSTEMS EDITING SYSTEM MOBILE; LAPTOP; C/O: AVID XPRESS PRO HD, WINXP, DUAL CORE 2.16GHZ PROCESSOR, 2GB RAM, DVDRW/CDRW, 80GB 7200RPM HARD DRIVE, IEEE NIC, SPARE BATTERY, USB MOUSE, SURGE PROTECTOR, AVID COLOR CODED KEYBOARD W/NUMBER PAD, T7400 PROCESSOR, HP ADVANCED DOCK STATION 1.1, HP ADJUSTABLE NOTEBOOK STAND, SIIG 1394 EXPRESSCARD DUAL PORT CARD BUS FIREWIRE ADAPTOR, FULL SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE INTEGRATION, 3-YR WARRANTY; PWR RQMTS: 110-220VAC, 50/60HZ (AUTO SWITCHED). The Air Force Multimedia Community has a requirement for lightweight, Avid editing software-compatible laptop computers for mobile editing environments which are used to produce video products at various locations throughout the Air Force. See attached sole source justification and approval. This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the closing date specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP). A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
