Security cooperation (SC) is defined by the Department of Defense (DoD) as the means by which the DoD encourages and enables countries and organizations to work with the United States to achieve strategic objectives. The SC operations of all DoD organizations support the objectives outlined in the National Security Strategy of the United States, the National Defense Strategy, and the National Military Strategy. SC objectives are carried out as a part of the theater strategy planning and execution function of multiple DoD agencies. Currently, each DoD Agency has an individual method by which theater security cooperation (TSC) data is collected and accessed. The G-TSCMIS effort will make global TSC data more accessible to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and the Joint Staff, as well as available to the TSC community at large. The G- TSCMIS will entail the standardization of TSC data, single point aggregation and visualization of that data, and data linkages to enable assessment of the data against strategic objectives of the Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs of Staff.
