S.C. 2304(c) (1) to DRS Signal Solutions, 700 Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. The procurement is for DRS Signal SolutionsSI-8649 Picoceptor Software Definable Receiver, Dual channel, 6MHZ BW, V4FX60. The DRS Dual Channel Picoceptor Receiver will be used for the required upgrade to the GSK Mobile / Body Worn System based on extensive evaluation and testing of available software definable receiver solutions. Based on the JTWS (Joint Threat Warning System) Capability Design Document, CDD the size, weight and power requirements are met with the receiver, as well as the environmental requirements and national security system classification requirements which require National certification of all computing equipment. These components are a functional and operational requirement necessary for Special Operations Force (SOF) mission support. A firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. The FSC Code is 7030.
