The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a Purchase Order to Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company of Bethesda, MD for the renewal of maintenance support on Finalist Software (Government-owned) for the period of 12/01/2006 through 11/30/2007. The maintenance support shall include possible upgrades over the period, updates, fixes and technical support and is currently know to be available only through Group 1 Software, Inc. This software is used to (1) assist SSA in managing the address information in the customer/master files and (2) corrects address elements on public mailings. Other organizations that believe they are capable of meeting the SSA requirements are invited to submit information establishing a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If the SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, the agency shall issue a sole source award of the product and maintenance under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the information received. Verbal responses are NOT acceptable and will not be considered.
