The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Macrovision, 2830 De La Cruz Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From a Single Source, for FLEXnet Manager Perpetual Reporting Module, Support/Update Service Fee Maintenance; FLEXnet Manager Perpetual Vendor Daemon(s) Support/Update Service Fee Maintenance contract; and FLEXnet Manager Perpetual Administration Module Support/Update Service Fee Maintenance Contract. This requirement is for existing FLEXnet Manager licenses and services; and Macrovision is the only authorized provider of licenses and services for the FLEXnet Manager Software in the United States and Canada. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about January 1, 2007.The maintenance and support period will begin January 1, 2007. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
