The 319th Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks AFB, ND has a requirement for the acquisition of (1) HD-1T Chamber Type Degausser, a one-year maintenance agreement, and one-year certification. The government anticipates to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order 15 days after this synopsis is publicized. Mandatory requirements are as follows: 1) Must meet DoD specifications for purging classified/sensitive information from hard disk media up to 5000 Oersteds including floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks, and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters. 2) Must meet DoD specifications for purging all classified/sensitive information from tape media up to 2500 Oesteds including DLT III, DLT IV, Super DLT, LTO, 8mm, DDS1, DDS2, DDS3, DDS4, and VHS. 3) Must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Degausser Products List (DPL) also meeting these requirements. 4) Must accept hard drives to 1 inch high by 4 inches wide by 5.8 inches long. It is anticipated that a sole source purchase order will be awarded to Data Security, Inc., as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 335999 and the size standard is 500. All interested parties may submit a quote, which will be evaluated. Responses must be in writing and submitted to the contracting officer no later than seven calendar days after publication of this notice.
