NASA/LaRC has a requirement for a Compact PCI (cPCI) Digital Signal Processor(DSP)Module, 1 each; VisualDSP ++ Floating license, 1 each; Bittware DSP21K Software Tools, 1each; Floating and Fixed Point Libraries with 1 year maintenance, 1 each; BittWare FPGADevelopers Kit, 1 each; Bittware DSP21K Software Tools Porting Kit, 1 each and BatteryBackup Kit, 1 each.NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Bittware Inc as the only known sourceavailable for this requirement. The cPCI DSP module will run in a real-time operatingsystem (OS) environment VxWorks and will use a battery backup to protect a PC for NASAMission Software Development. Bittware provides DSP modules with the floating pointcomputation at a high throughput rate and that are compatible with VxWorks with theporting toolkit. This software has been in use at NASA LaRC for serveral years. Theprocessor will be a replacement for an existing processor.
