Description: The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps (OJC), Job Corps Data Center (JCDC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Citrix Systems, Inc. to provide technical; support for its Citrix Sever Farm. The JCDC is responsible for design, deployment, and maintenance of Job Corps LAN/WAN. The JCDC uses uses Citrix technical support to ensure continued operation of the server farm, and access to technical experts at Citrix. Citrix Systems, Inc. is the one responsible source that can satisfy the JCDC requirement for the following: 1. Citrix products products are proprietary; 2. Citrix is the developer and holds the rights and patents; and 3. Citrix provides the technical expertise required to support its software including all of the software updates. Pursuant to 41 USC 253(c)(1) as set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), Citrix is the only source capable of performing this requirement considering they are the developer and holds the rights and patents of its products and services. This notice of intent is not an announcement of the availability of a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is an RFP available. Interested parties who believe they can provide the required service may respond by submitting a capability statement to the e-mail address in this notice. The capability statement must include price information and describe in detail the parties ability, qualifications and experience in providing the required service as described. All submissions must be received within five (5) calendar days of publication date of this synopsis. A determination not to compete the proposed work based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (See Note Number 22).
