The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground has a requirement to renew the annual lease of ANSYS FLUENT, ANSYS TGrid and Gambit software. The acquisition will be made on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to ANSYS, Inc., 275 Technology Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317. The software suite has been extensively tested and found to be the only software that fulfills the Governments modeling and simulation needs which enhances Army in-house capabilities. The software suite is used to perform high fidelity numeric modeling and simulation of a wide variety of multiphysics problems by packaging simulation capabilities of structural mechanics, heat transfer, fluid flow, acoustics and electromagnetic into a single platform. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 7372 and the Small Business Size Standard is $25.0. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The Government anticipates awarding one (1) Firm Fixed Price contract for a period of performance of 04/04/2012 through 04/03/2013.
