The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) seeks sources for disaster recovery resources which would be made available twice annually for test purposes and in the event of any type of disaster or serious event disrupting the agencyââ¬â¢s operations in our headquarters building at 844 N. Rush Street, Chicago. This would apply to major, usually catastrophic, events that would deny physical or remote access to the facility for an extended period of time. Certain agency officials would be authorized to declare a disaster. The mainframe disaster recovery and work area /LAN recovery sites shall be at least 20 miles away from the agency headquarters at 844 N. Rush Street, Chicago, IL but not greater than 50 miles away from the agency headquarters. The disaster recovery facility shall provide for connectivity from the site to our 54 field offices located throughout the continental United States. The RRB requires that critical systems on all platforms be restored and operational within 72 hours of our disaster declaration. RRB personnel will be responsible for all actual restoration work and system operations. The full document will be uploaded to FEDBIZOPPS
